Aloe Vera is the gel from the leaves of aloe plants. It contains antibacterial and antioxidant properties, which helps fight free radicals and reduces oxidative stress in the body.

Aloe Vera is a natural remedy for skin irritation and is often used in topical form to treat the skin, soothe burns and heal wounds. Aloe Vera is also beneficial in reducing blood sugar levels, decreasing heartburn and easing constipation. It may also help stimulate collagen production.

Aloe Vera gel is safe to eat when properly prepared, and can be added to a variety of recipes, like juices and smoothies.

Aloe plants are easy to grow and maintain. Because it’s a succulent, it does best in dry conditions. Keeping your plant in a bright place with lots of light will ensure that it continues to grow and doesn’t go dormant.

When you’re ready to harvest your leaves, it’s best to cut the leaf as close as possible to the main stem, starting at the bottom of the plant where the leaves are more mature.
