Today, I’m sharing one of my most recent recipes, honey oat body scrub, which is perfect for exfoliating your skin.

Brown sugar is a natural exfoliate helping to remove dead skin cells, hydrate and promote circulation.

Honey and oats are natural ingredients that you probably already have at home. In honey’s raw, unprocessed form, it is one of nature’s richest sources of live, healing enzymes. It’s also moisturizing, so it will leave your skin feeling softer.

Oats have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which will help soothe dry, itchy and irritated skin. In a grounded form, oats can help remove dirt, oil, and dead skin cells.

This body scrub also includes coconut oil which has antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties, helping to reduce inflammation and moisturize dry skin.

So the handful of natural ingredients in this honey oat body scrub can have a powerful impact, soothing, cleansing and nourishing your skin.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup of Honey
  • 1/4 cup of Oats, ground, raw
  • 1/4 cup of Coconut oil
  • 3/4 cup of Brown sugar

How to Blend this Honey Oat Body Scrub

Place your oats in a blender or use a mortar and pestle. Grind them until they are fine. Use this ground form when measuring out your oats for this scrub. Combine your honey, oats coconut oil and sugar in a bowl. Mix well with a spoon or use your hand blender or mixer. Place mixture in an airtight container. Label this body scrub Honey Oat Body Scrub so you can identify it when wanting to use it later.

How to Use this Honey Oat Body Scrub

  • Prep your skin with warm water
  • Rub the scrub onto your skin in circular motion for a minute or two
  • Rinse with cool water
  • Enjoy your smooth and hydrated skin!

After you make and use this body scrub, be sure to come back and share your thoughts in the comments.
