My Favorite Online Business Resources | Tracie Braylock

Ever expanding and evolving is the online world. With its daily up and downloads, apps, sites and billions of pieces of content, it can keep your head spinning.

When I began blogging years ago, the vast majority of the online options that are currently available did not exist. But I’m so glad they do. And I want to help you by sharing some of my favorite online business tools.

By sharing, I hope that you’ll reach your goals faster and with greater ease.

ConvertKit

ConvertKit is great for so many reasons. If you’re doing business online, you’ll need to communicate with your audience and ConvertKit allows you to do it quickly and easily. If you have multiple offers, or multiple types of clients that you’re trying to connect with, you can easily send each group different information, automating triggers and sequences of your content. I also offer a free class that’s sent via ConvertKit to the recipient’s email, as well as writing and sharing my newsletters. I’ve used multiple email marketing options and for me, ConvertKit has been the most user friendly of them all. Check out ConvertKit here.

Website Templates

There are many website options for you to choose from. I’ve tried quite a few and for the past several years have only used wordpress. You have your choice of thousands of website templates, so here are a few of my favorite shops:

Restored 316 – I’ve used multiple templates from Restored 316. I love the variety and ease of use. They offer details to help you set up and customize your site. Check out Restored 316 here.

BluChic – I’ve also used multiple templates from BluChic. They’re easy to work with and offer documentation to help you set up and customize your site. Check out BluChic here.

Station Seven – I’m currently using the Monstera template from Station Seven. I love their designs. They offer both wordpress and Squarespace options and documentation for set up and customization. Check out Station Seven here.

Small Business Bodyguard – Rachel Rodgers

Contracts, agreements, terms, privacy policies, disclaimers, intellectual property and all the legal details a small business owner needs, is covered by Rachel and Small Business Bodyguard. Rachel is an intellectual property lawyer and she’s awesome.

She’s great at cutting through the fluff and giving you as much information as possible to help you succeed. Rachel always goes above and beyond to give quality information and resources. Small Business Bodyguard also has an active Facebook group that enables you to ask questions and get additional feedback from Rachel. And there’s a monthly Q&A call. I haven’t found anything with the level of attentiveness that Rachel brings. I highly recommend it. Check out Small Business Bodyguard here.

SC Stockshop

Whether you’re running a blog or business online, you’ll need to use a photo from time to time. If you happen to be an impeccable photographer, you can bypass this section. But if you’re not so photo savvy or simply don’t have the time to study the craft, you can always use stock photography.

SC Stockshop, owned by Shay Cochrane offers some of the most beautiful stock photos available. The images are high quality and a great way to create a cohesive brand. You can check out the images here.

I love having tools that help me run efficiently and make the greatest impact without a tremendous amount of time and effort. I hope you find this list beneficial.

Thanks for sharing this Tracie. It’s very helpful. I’m interested in the stockshop. The photos look very professional. I am assuming you have been satisfied with them so far? Do you know of any others that offer similar services? I like the consistency of the images for branding.

  4. Great tips, this is super helpful for anyone looking to start a blog (and business). Sharing!
