Essential Oils
What are essential oils?
Essential Oils are are the volatile fluid of a plant that contain aromatic compounds. These compounds are used by the plant to bring oxygen and nutrients, while removing harmful toxins. They also act as plant hormones to restore and maintain the plant’s normal function, helping the plant to fight off unwanted and harmful pests and toxins. The good new is they do the same for humans, adapting to bring balance and restoration to the body by acting as messengers to help coordinate and maintain vital body function.
Essential oils penetrate cell membranes and can diffuse throughout our blood and tissues. These particles are one of the few things small enough to cross the blood brain barrier and help restore the body to a state of healthy balance.
Essential oils have been used for centuries and can be used in a variety of ways.
Why Young Living Essential Oils?
I was introduced to Young Living Essential Oils by a colleague many years ago. After learning that not all essential oils are created equally, it was wonderful to learn how important quality is to Young Living.
