I read a candid blog post today that reassured me that my businesses and, more importantly, life are headed in the right direction. April of Creative Girl Media described a life event that nudged her in a new direction; one that’s less about business and more about transparency. Oh, how I appreciate her honesty.
By now I’m sure you’ve noticed that This Holistic Life received a facelift and is now under the umbrella of Tracie Braylock. Similar to April, I’ve been longing for the days when blogging was a bit more real. Let me explain. When I began blogging in 2009, it was exciting. I looked forward to blogging – daily; to share my thoughts and experiences, to address life events and global happenings, to journal about my dreams and reflect on my amazing life. As time went on, I created multiple blogs, some personal, others for my various businesses. With many blogs, I found my work being less spontaneous and relational and more scheduled and rigid. Needless to say, I lost my passion for blogging and it became much more of a task than the form of expression it had once been.
Changing to this format enables me to display all of my work, which more accurately depicts my personal and professional passions and lifestyle. I feel like I can breathe again; let loose, let my hair down, be real…You get the picture.
As I offer all of my work in one location, the blog will be a bit different. You will experience my conversational style of writing about everything that I enjoy. Nothing is off limits. Yes, I have multiple businesses, so you may decide to simply follow those that interest you most. However, if you want to stay connected to all of my happenings, this blog is my virtual studio, offering an eclectic, holistic mix of it all.
I’m excited about my new direction. I believe that it will capture the essence of holistic living as I share with you how I care for myself, my family, and my clients, how I love and serve my God and those who He allows me to encounter and nurture along life’s journey, how I create, design, write and thoroughly enjoy the beauty of the world around me and how I inspire others to live fully, passionately and purposefully.
I’m so grateful that you’re on this journey with me, and for the opportunity to begin again and again.
