One of the best things we can do is give ourselves permission not to do it all.

As a nurse entrepreneur who works from home while caring for our children and operating an online business, I say no – a lot. And that’s okay.

I’m not superwoman. And in order to live what I teach, I’ve had to learn how to prioritize to get the most essential things done.

Some days, that means missing a play date. Other days, that means forgoing a networking event. Many days, that means a very LARGE pile of laundry is left untouched or put away. And that’s okay.

I think this is why the word balance should be used more carefully. Balance looks and feels different for each one of us and it looks different from one day to the next.

When we begin to honor those nudges to do more, or to do less, we give ourselves permission to thrive. We tell ourselves that we’re doing our best and we more clearly and confidently move forward to achieve our goals.

This gentle way of living and being will help you accomplish your personal and professional dreams with greater ease and joy and less stress and overwhelm.

Think about how you’re using your time. Are there things you need to say no to so you can accomplish the other important things you’ve been pushing aside in your life?

I’ve been living this practice and it led me to take a break from blogging. What a gift this has been! Because of it, I’ve been able to write new programs to better serve you and help you put your best into the world.

I’d love for you to check them out and share with your friends.
