Natural elements in any space can shift your mood, uplift your spirits and bring more joy.
So when I see a new plant, I get excited, and begin to think about where it would bring more of that healing into my home.
I have about 20 potted plants in my home of all different shapes and sizes. I’m also propagating about 5 new curly spiders that were sprouting from the original plant when I bought it.
Here’s a little video tour for you to enjoy.
I’ve listed the names of my plants here too, so you can go out and grab a few to enjoy in your home.
Pothos
Snake
Spider
Monstera
Curly Spider
Dwarf Fiddle Leaf
Birkin
Heart Leaf Philodendron
Rope Hoya
Hypoestes
I also have a Bird of Paradise, a Corkscrew Rush , a Peace Lily, a large Fiddle Leaf, another Birkin (we call them the twins), an English Ivy and a Rubber Fig.
More Fun facts:
The spider was given to me by one of my children on Mother’s Day a couple of years ago. He thought it wouldn’t last very long, and is now convinced I’m just really great at taking care of plants.
At least 1/4 of my plants are from the Hilton Carter x Target Collection. I was still pretty early in my plant care practice, so I was hesitant about getting too many. But now, I wish I’d gotten more. They’re beautiful and are growing really well.
I’m considering a Taro, or Elephant Ear, plant next, but I’ve learned that they can get really big, so I’m still considering my options.
