Cinchona is a remedy for fevers, digestive issues and infections. For centuries, it was the most widely taken antimalarial in the world.

Cinchona can help improve weakened digestive function while stimulating saliva, appetite and digestive secretions.

The herb contains bitter constituents, including alkaloids and has also been used to relieve arthritis, cramping, reduce heart rate and regulate irregular heartbeats.

Cinchona is also an antispasmodic, astringent and antibacterial. It’s native to mountainous tropical regions of South America, and is also grown in India and parts of Africa.

Cinchona contains quinine which is strongly antimalarial, antibacterial and antispasmodic.

As with all herbal remedies and medications, check with your care provider before consuming.
