In the Company of Women, Inspiration and Advice from over 100 Makers, Artists, and Entrepreneurs is an amazing book. Written by Grace Bonney, the Founder of Design Sponge, the book explores the work of women in a variety of industries from all over the world.

Page after page after page describes women who get up every day and go for it, making their dreams happen in the midst of challenges and changes, experiencing triumphs, living lives that enable them to do the work the love and doing work that enables them to live lives they love.

A few of my favorites (I have more than a few) include Roxane Gay – Writer, Bethany Yellowtail – Fashion Designer and Diana Yen, Food Stylist and Author. To learn more about them, go buy the book!

Can you tell? I absolutely love this book. I could – and will – read it again and again. Honestly, I could read thousands of stories like these. They fuel me. They inspire me. They remind me that my own dreams aren’t far fetched and that success comes in a rainbow of shapes and sizes.

This book is a part of my 2017 motivational plan and is well worth the read.
